This summer, visitors of all ages from cities coast to coast will experience for free the magic behind “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” in this once-in-a-lifetime attraction. “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” is a thrilling, multi-sensory movie directed by Robert Zemeckis that takes the classic Dickens tale to the big screen like never before. The movie opens nationwide November 6, 2009.
ABOUT THE TOUR
· 16,000 MILES – “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” Train Tour, sponsored by Hewlett Packard and Driven by Amtrak, kicks off Memorial Day Weekend 2009 at Union Station in Los Angeles, traveling across the country with stops in 40 cities big and small along the route, culminating in November at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal. Traveling more than 16,000 miles, the train will pass through 36 states, hitting cities like Chicago, Ill., Albuquerque, N.M., Portland, Ore., Fargo, N.D., Sacramento, Calif., Houston, Texas, Kansas City, Mo., Louisville, Ky., Jacksonville, Fla., Philadelphia, Pa., Albany, N.Y., and Charleston, S.C. “THE GREEN HORNET™” GETS HIS KATO IN TAIWANESE SUPERSTAR JAY CHOU
CULVER CITY, Calif., August 7, 2009 – After a worldwide search, Jay Chou, the multi-hyphenate singer-actor and a star throughout Asia, has joined the cast of Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet in the iconic role of Kato, it was announced today by Doug Belgrad and Matt Tolmach, presidents of Columbia Pictures.
Michel Gondry, the film’s director, added, “Jay is incredibly unique and charming and fights like a wild dog! When I filmed him next to Seth, they had such great chemistry, and I knew the movie will be great."
Chou said, “It’s an overwhelming experience to take on a role made famous by Bruce Lee. I won’t try to be Bruce Lee’s Kato – I will try to bring my own interpretation to the part. Of course, it’s a dream role, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
A classic character of film, television, radio, and comic books returns to the big screen in Columbia Pictures’ feature film The Green Hornet, starring Seth Rogen as the vigilante crime-fighter. The film will be directed by Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) from a screenplay written by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express), based upon “The Green Hornet” radio series created by George W. Trendle, and produced by Neal H. Moritz (The Fast and the Furious). The film is slated for release summer 2010.
A pop-star phenomenon throughout Asia, JAY CHOU brings unexpected gravity and depth to his acting roles. Born Chou Chieh-Lun in Taiwan, 1979, Chou began playing the piano at age four. His mother supported his musical gifts and he went on to master piano and cello. Music, songwriting, and basketball dominated his high school days, and he was first noticed in 1998 when a friend sang one of his pop compositions on a TV talent contest, accompanied by Jay on piano. Alfa Music launched Jay's career, first as a tunesmith and then as a singer. In 2000, his debut album "Jay" quickly propelled him to stardom with numerous hits. His unique musical style is a fresh-sounding fusion of eastern and western traditions featuring strong lyrics and a personal style of storytelling.
With his soulful voice and infectious tunes, his second album, "Fantasy," and seven subsequent albums, have continued to win legions of fans young and old throughout Asia. He has been the best-selling Mandarin artist in the world for the past nine years, with a busy performance schedule touring Asia and North America and numerous music industry awards.
Apart from many music videos, Jay began film acting in a starring role in Initial D (2005), a comedy-action hit in China. Red Carpets Roll Out in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL—KillaCozzy Productions announces that the world premiere of the feature film "Chiaroscuro, Baby" will be held at the Florida Theatre on November 4th, 2009.
The red carpet premiere will be black tie required and is expected to be one of the biggest film events in the city’s history. Tickets officially go on sale August 7th at the Florida Theatre box office as well as through Ticketmaster.
Christopher Bolla, Christianna L. White, and Milan Alley star in the film, produced entirely in Jacksonville under the working title, "Self-Portrait". The story follows an aspiring painter who compromises his ambition for his seductive girlfriend, only to be torn when his empowering new muse reignites his passion.
The picture takes cues from the classic and underground cinema of the 1960s, with inspired vintage costumes and makeup, not to mention an aged black & white design to the finished product. A retro soundtrack composed by local rocker Joe Parker and his band, Celestials, also stands out.

This time the film is traveling to the comic Mecca packing an army of fans, and a year of cult creation as the newest member of midnight cinema madness. This special midnight show will be chock full of what the nation is experiencing; Shadow Cast Performances, audiences adorned in REPO! regalia, attendee sing-a-longs and screen screaming audience participation. This Midnight show features guest appearances by Director Darren Bousman, Co-creators and cast members Terrance Zdunich and Darren Smith, cast members Alexa Vega and Bill Moseley, Music Producer Joe Bishara, scene journalist and creator, of Repo! The Genetic Opera, Spooky Dan, and more. Repo! The Genetic Opera screens Saturday, July 25th at 11:59 PM at the Gas-lamp Stadium located at 701 Fifth Avenue:

By fusing ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and BLADE RUNNER, this futuristic tale of horror modernizes the "rock opera" genre with original music and rich, dark production design.
This rock opera boasts an entirely original soundtrack that blends equal parts goth and punk rock to form an eerie and powerful musical narrative and features vocal performances by an amazing cast; Paris Hilton, Bill Moseley, Sarah Brightman, Anthony Stewart Head, Alexa Vega, Paul Sorvino, Ohgr and more.
